Capcom Promotes the Field Of Fate Coming to Street Fighter V
Capcom is promoting a new stage being added to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition as they'll be bringing in the Field of Fate from the animated movie. The company released a brand new promo video showing off the level from Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. If you've never seen the scene, you can check it out here, as the company basically will be putting in one of the most famous scenes from the series' lore into their current best-seller. Or some would have you believe…
One of the funniest responses we saw online to this was from Arin Hanson of the Game Grumps, who disputed the claim that this is where Sagat got his scar from Ryu. While it is true that it's cannon from the film, it's not true when it comes to the game, as Sagat got his scar from Ryu in the first Street Fighter arcade game on the Thailand stage. Here's a bit of Hanson's funny rant on the subject.
So yeah, you're getting a new stage for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition on March 26th. Incidentally, if any of the Capcom devs are reading this, we'd love to see you add a stage from the 1995 Street Fighter movie just so we can watch Hanson's head fake-explode.
