Digital Extremes Is Adding A Hard Mode To Warframe
If you thought Warframe wasn't tough enough, we got some good news for you, as Digital Extremes will be adding a new Hard Mode. The word came down on their forums as fans learned a few new details about what this will entail. Essentially, The Conclave Master Teshin has an opportunity for Tenno who have proven themselves. For the players who have completed the Solar Map, you will be invited to unlock The Steel Path from Teshin in a future update. What does that exactly mean for you as far as being a harder mode? Well, first off it is essentially a higher difficulty series of content that rewards exclusive cosmetic decorations, emotes, and mastery. So you get bragging rights. There's also an extra layer of opportunity for players to use their gear to take on threats at a higher level, and you won't have to wait in missions for long periods of time in the process. Plus, it's a new way to engage with some better scaling Affinity and Mod Rewards.
The hard mode has not been released yet, so all of this is basically tentative, especially with no patch notes to go off of. But it sounds like this is for the hardcore players who are bored with the average game and want something with a little more risk involved with a greater rewards program attached to it. Some would argue Warframe is already a pain in the backside, and creating a hard mode is basically just throwing another mountain in the distance that they can't climb. We view it more as a reason to get better at the game and challenge yourselves. But we're also not playing alongside most of you, so one person's challenge is another person's "OH COME ON!"
