Ed Boon is Not a Fan of Recent Mortal Kombat 11 Leaks
If there was ever a moment we suspect Ed Boon would love to have the time travel powers they're putting into Mortal Kombat 11, it would probably be now. The co-creator of the game took to Twitter today to sort of passive-aggressively show his distaste for leaks on the latest installment, and we can't really blame him. On Friday, Dataminers got inside Steam's system and scored a bunch of data relating to achievements, which also revealed a number of characters being added to the game through three-letter codes. Of course, the internet went wild in marking who they think everyone was, and express their displeasure over people they didn't see. Boon expressed his own displeasure over the matter.
And quite honestly, can you blame him? Or anyone from the NetherRealm team for being mad? You work your way to making the game a big deal, you got things planned to do reveals, you got two more months before the game come out… and then a hacker spoils most of it because they couldn't help themselves. Kinda sucks, but that's the world we're in right now with gaming, and that kind of leak is a reason why some companies don't even load game material to servers like Steam until they're a week away from release. But on the bright side, at least Boon is having fun with it by confirming more Mortal Kombat 11 characters made by the fans.
