Fallout 76 Fans Are Making Their Own Map Before the Game Comes Out
Chalk this one up to the rabid fandom that can't wait for anything, as Fallout 76 fans on Twitter have started making their own map of the game. If you've been following the hashtag #Fallout76 lately, you'd see one of two things lately: singalongs to John Denver's "Country Roads, Take Me Home", and fans constructing the new map from scratch. Keep in mind, the game isn't coming out for another five months, and they've already started guessing what everything is and what it will be named.
The map is, to put a fun analogy to it, a seven-layer lasagna of speculation and confirmation. A combination of officially confirmed locations and details gathered from the trailers and gameplay footage, along with a few different kinds of guesswork and assumptions as to what things could be. It would tickle us to no end if Bethesda Softworks was watching all this unfold and actually put some of these names into the game just as a wink at the fans. We'll see how much of this comes to fruition when Fallout 76 is released come November.
