farcry5-key-art

The official Far Cry 5 announcement trailer, along with several character trailers, were released today by Ubisoft, confirming the official date for the game: February 18th, 2018.

Of the five trailers released today, two are the basics, showing off what the game is and some general info. The other three focus on members of the Resistance: Mary May, Nick Rye, and Pastor Jerome Jeffries.

Your goal in the game is to fight against the project at Eden's Gate cult starting off as a junior deputy police officer, which you know will lead to horrible things. You'll need to gather forces and liberate Hope County, Montana from the cult using whatever people and weapons you can get your hands on. You'll be able to play solo or co-op, have a map editor, and be able to choose how your character looks. Check out the main trailer below, which will lead you to the others.
