Third party support has for a long time now been the bug bear of Nintendo. Support from major publishers are often there, but rarely are the offerings on par, quality or quantity wise as they are on the PlayStation or Xbox platforms.
Well, here is a little cause for concern for the Switch. It seems that at least one big upcoming game will likely miss the Switch. Answering a fan on Twitter (via IGN), Gearbox's Randy Pitchford quite candidly admitted we probably shouldn't expect Borderlands 3 on the console. He said:
@dECU_nutt I do not see that as happening. We were talking to Nintendo, but that stopped for some reason. They have other priorities.

This seems… odd. Perhaps their other priorities were temporary? This could kick up again, but then, like I said, Nintendo have an odd relationship with third parties. Perhaps best not to hold your breath.
