Hideo Kojima Says Death Stranding Is Being Made For The PS4 And Not The PS5
The problem with many AAA games is that they can take years to come to fruition. In rare cases *cough* The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV *cough* it can take nearly a decade. That's why when we get to around the halfway point of a console's life, it's fair to begin wondering if these games will even hit the current generation.
Death Stranding feels a long ways off from release now too, so I don't think it's unfair to wonder if the game is even going to hit the PlayStation 4. According to Hideo Kojima, that is the current plan. Speaking to RTX Sydney (as reported by DualShockers), the designer confirmed the game is a PlayStation 4 game.
Of course, if production does end up getting delayed and pushed at some point, there is every chance the game could see a bump to the next console. Still, good to know it's being planned for the current generation.
