New Blood Interactive Drops Amid Evil On Us at PAX East 2019
The second game we got to check out from New Blood Interactive took us back a bit as we raged through Amid Evil at PAX East. The game has already been released in Early Access, so essentially what we were playing at the convention was all of the episodes that are available, which is six in total. This is a first-person fantasy action game that plays a lot like Quake if you just went around with a sword in your hand. You can change out weapons, get magical items, pick up treasure and mana, and basically lay waste to all of the evil creatures who are guarding whatever is in front of you.
I tend to forget how much fun it is to just run around in games of this genre and just kill everything in sight. Like, stupid fun! This one flows well and doesn't explain a lot to you, so it's both a matter of figuring out what you need to do and how to use the items provided to you to the best of your ability. I recommend checking it out if you love this genre, it's only $20 on Steam at the moment, but again, it is Early Access.
