Nintendo and GameTruck Launch a New Campaign at Select Wal-Mart Stores
Do you remember how Nintendo used to travel around the country in a van showing off new games? They're doing it again, with a new partner. The company has partnered with Game Truck to launch their "Summer of Fun" campaign, in which they'll be going across the country and setting up shop in select Wal-Mart parking lots for people to pay a few rounds of their favorite Nintendo Switch titles. Some of the confirmed games on the list include Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Tennis Aces, Nintendo Labo, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Unlike the tours they used to do, there's no set of dates with a roadmap you can track to see when it will come to your town, just a map where you can enter your ZIP code and try to find a participating Wal-Mart within 150 miles. Living in Utah, I tried for myself and found nothing, along with a number of other ZIP codes around the U.S. have no dates nearby. However, after putting in a code for NYC, I got four different locations. So it's clear the tour is being selective on where they end up. You can look up locations yourself at this link.
