Pokémon GO has announced five new Spotlight Hours for January 2024, and each one features a Pokémon that can spawn as Shiny.

Pokémon GO has announced five new Spotlight Hours for January 2024, and they all feature Shiny-capable Pokémon. Let's get into the details.

These are the Spotlight Hours and bonuses coming to Pokémon GO in January 2024:

• Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024: Castform with double catch XP, can be Shiny

This is one of the most interesting Spotlight Hour features ever. Check the weather in your area, because Castform changes Forms based on the weather. There are four Castform forms: Normal Form Castform, Sunny Form Castform, Rainy Form Castform, and Snowy Form Castform. Now, note that Normal Form Castform is shown on the artwork, so we don't yet know that Niantic will stick to the weather-based spawns… but based on their use of Castform historically, it seems likely that they will.

• Tuesday, January 9th, 2024: Eevee with double catch Candy, can be Shiny

This is a great bonus to feature with Eevee, as we are ALWAYS in need of some extra Eevee Candy to power up its many evolutions.

• Tuesday, January 16th, 2024: Ralts with double transfer Candy, can be Shiny
• Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024: Barboach with double XP for evolving, can be Shiny
• Tuesday, January 30th, 2023: Foongus with double Stardust for catching, can be Shiny

The Raid Hours for the month of January 2024 in Pokémon GO are:

• Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024: Ultra Beasts, featuring:
  • Buzzwole in the Americas and Greenland
  • Xurkitree in the Asia-Pacific
  • Pheromosa in Europe, India, and the Middle East
• Wednesday, January 10th, 2024: Therian Forme Tornadus with Bleakwind Storm (can be Shiny)
• Wednesday, January 17th, 2024: Therian Forme Thundurus with Wildbolt Storm (can be Shiny)
• Wednesday, January 24th, 2024: Therian Forme Landorus with Sandsear Storm (can be Shiny)
