Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn Gets Release Window And It Is Pretty Soon
Sabre Interactive has finally come out and announced that Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn will be coming this Spring.
Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn has seemingly gone on a bit of a journey. The title was announced around four years ago, bringing the series, which posits Shaquille O'Neal as a kung-fu master, back to life. It was always a bit silly, but the project has seemingly taken a lot of TLC from developer Sabre Interactive. It appears it was actually a fairly troubled process and that lead to an extended development time.
However, that is now coming to an end. It's been announced the title is coming to PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One in spring. The project has been going on so long, it was actually originally announced for PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 but quite understandably, those aren't coming out now. When exactly in 'spring' isn't clear yet, but no later than the middle of June seems a good bet. You can check out the "launch" trailer for the game here.
This will see the game finally make good on the $450,000 it made on an IndieGoGo campaign. Even though it's pretty late, it's always good to see a crowd-funding campaign complete its promise and get out of there instead of folding. While the project seems kind of frivolous on the outset, the game has taken a lot of time and effort by the development team no doubt. Hopefully when it lands, it will have all been worth it and we have a fun little brawler to play.
