Focus Home Interactive and Enigami are releasing the soundtrack from Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom on international record label Wayô Records. The soundtrack for Shiness was definitely one of the highlights of the game and features compositions by Hazem Hawash in an attempt to create an atmosphere reminiscent of the golden age of JRPGs. The soundtrack also includes a guest contribution from Hiroki Kikuta who composed the score for the Secret of Mana.

The soundtrack is available worldwide in physical CD format via the Wayô Records website and digitally on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.

Wayô Records is no amateur in publishing game soundtracks. Their physical edition of Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom Original Soundtrack comes quick on the heels of the hugely successful Ni No Kuni soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi and the Legend of Legacy soundtrack by Masashi Hamauzu.

"Few years ago at Japan Expo (France), I first met Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom creator and composer Hazem Hawash," notes Wayô Records Producer Jonathan Khersis in the statement accompanying the announcement. "I was really moved the first time I heard Hazem's work as it not only worked well with the game's atmosphere, but also sent me back to my childhood by reminding me of my favorite RPG soundtracks from the SNES and PlayStation eras. My hope is that RPG fans will listen to and appreciate this amazing soundtrack and be reminded of their childhood as well."

While our own Gavin Sheehan didn't find Shiness to be anything particularly exciting, he did call it a "a decent indie RPG" which had a lot of potential on paper.
