Slightly Mad Studios Are Making Their Own Game Console

It seems like everyone is going to be making a new game console in the next couple of years, as the latest company to make the move is Slightly Mad Studios. The company's CEO, Ian Bell, sent out the following tweet below this morning, letting people know they were working on their own video game console, becoming yet another company intent on creating one outside of the big three companies and providing a console that gamers would currently want.

Bell also did an interview with Variety on the entire matter, but left out some key information like a potential price point or any kind of a target year or what kind of games they'll be looking to have on their system. On the surface, it sounds like all the promises we heard from people who were supposedly making Steam Machines, where great things were promised but hardly anyone followed through on their products. We'll see how it develops over time, but honestly, it's hard to take it seriously until there's a product in front of us.
