Square Enix Offers Update on Left Alive Streaming Issues

Over the weekend we talked about how Left Alive players suddenly lost their ability to stream the game from PS4 in Japan. Today, Square Enix has a response. The company simply put out a tweet earlier this morning letting fans know they released a patch to resolve the issue, but gave no further information as to what caused it in the first place or what the patch does.

If you're into conspiracy theories, the running rumor is that the company didn't want gameplay to be broadcast over the past few days until the game came out in the west, especially since it's been getting poor reviews in Japan at the moment. But with nothing to back it up and just a short statement about a patch, we're probably never going to learn the full truth of why the YouTube service went down until the day it was released in North America and Europe. In the meantime, Left Alive is available for purchase, and we hope to have a review for you soon.
