This week, Ubisoft announced they were launching a set of escape rooms with the introduction of Prince Of Persia: The Dagger Of Time. This will be the third themed escape room the company is creating, as 2-4 players will work together to solve puzzles and find a way out of a reimagined Fortress of Time. According to the story, players are summoned by Kaileena, the Empress of Time, to help her to stop the evil plans of a Magi who is attempting to restore the sands to the Hourglass of Time. Players must utilize powers such as time control from the dagger of time to figure out the puzzles and get out.
You can find a complete guide to locations on the website for the game, but a launch date for Prince Of Persia: The Dagger Of Time hasn't been given yet. Here are a few quotes from the announcement.
"Controlling time in VR is a one-of-a-kind experience where players will feel the power of the dagger of time in their own hands," said Cyril Voiron, Executive Producer for Ubisoft's Escape Games. "Time-control is only part of the immersion as we transport players to experience larger-than-life adventures in our games."
"After just two years in operation, we have now partnered with more than 300 locations around the globe," said Benedikt Grindel, Managing Director of the German Ubisoft studios. "What started as a pilot project became one of the largest distribution networks in the location-based entertainment market, which makes us really proud."
