Drac Attack! Monster Bash Pinball
Finally, I can do an article on my favorite pinball machine of all time. While I am fond of many, nothing has captured my heart more than Monster Bash released by Williams in 1998. I'm a huge fan of the Universal Monsters (especially The Creature), and overall this game is just great fun. I also think it's one of George Gomez's greatest playfield designs. It's just a beautiful machine to behold. The game is pretty easy and straightforward, but that doesn't make it boring. You can fight against Frankenstein, Dracula, The Bride, The Wolfman, The Mummy, and The Creature. But none of these characters come off as creepy. The Bride is portrayed as a normal dead girl, The Mummy has some of the funniest lines in the game, and The Creature would rather you never bother him. I can dig that. Prices on this machine are always high. There were less than 3,500 made and there's no indication this machine will ever be remade. If you're looking to buy one, expect to pay around $11K for a near mint machine.
