GameStop CEO May Have Let Slip That The PlayStation VR Has Been Delayed To This Fall

The last we heard officially about the PlayStation VR was that the headset would be coming in the 'first half of 2016', but a hard announcement of a date has remained elusive. That's kind of worrying considering we are now well into 2016.

It seems like the VR headset might have actually been pushed back now though. Speaking to Fox News (via VideoGamer) yesterday, GameStop's CEO Paul Raines suggested the headset wouldn't be with us until this fall. He said, which you can see in this video at 3:34,:

We will launch the Sony product this fall and we are in discussions with the other two players [in reference to the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive]

While I've always contended that the Vive and Oculus are not in direct competition with the PSVR, this kind of delay will put its launch pretty significantly behind the other two. Will that have an affect? I'm not so sure, but something to think about, eh?
