Kentucky Route Zero Act IV Is Still Happening
One of my very favorite game series of the last few years has been Kentucky Route Zero. The surrealist and abstract indie game has some of the best atmosphere of any game I've ever played and when a new episode comes out, I am all over it.
The problem is, the episodes take a long time, like a really long time. Only one episode, Act III, of the planned five episode series came out last year and it has been around 15 months since that hit. This had lead some to believe that next episode had been cancelled, but good news! It hasn't. It is just gestating. Developer Cardboard Computer took to Twitter to say:
I really do love this series, so this is music to my ears. There is almost something special about how long it takes these episodes to come out that feeds into the mythical quality of the game. Having said that, I really do want it, so sooner would be good.
