Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan Won't Have Local Co-Op
The art of playing a video game with a friend sitting physically next to you is a dying one. We are seeing less and less games offer it as an option as time goes on, with franchises that have been famous for the option, such as Halo, no longer featuring local co-op in campaigns.
Sadly, this is going to extend to Platinum Games' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan. The game will have a focus on co-op for sure, but it has been revealed that this will only be by way of online. This was confirmed in a hands on with the game by iDigitalTimes, who claim this choice was made because Platinum wanted each player to have a full experience, and thus didn't want to divide the screen.
It's a shame to see this as the title feels perfect for sitting down with a friend and bashing a couple of Foot around. Still, it's good that there is some kind of co-op in there, even if it requires everyone to have a copy.
