The Wii U Has Sold 10 Million Units In Its Lifespan
The Wii U has had a a bit of a torrid go of it this console generation. After the insane success of the Wii, the Wii U has had a very tempered lifespan thus far.
Here is a little reason for Nintendo to celebrate though. In their financial report today, it was announced the console had passed the 10 million consoles sold landmark. This is on the back of a period between Apirl and June where the Wii U sold 470,000 units, which was admittedly lower than expected.
Still, these little landmarks should be celebrated none the less. With games like Smash Brothers, Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 doing very well on the console, hopefully the upward trend we've begun to see continues to gain speed.
Thanks for the heads up VideoGamer!
