Will Celebi, Lipard, & Sandaconda Get Pokémon Vs In Chilling Reign?

On April 23rd, two new Japanese-language sets of the Pokémon Trading Card Game will be released: Silver Lance and Jet Black Poltergeist. We are now one week away from the official release, which means that cards from both of these sister sets are beginning to make their way onto social media. This is relevant for English-language collectors as well, as these two sets will combine with Matchless Fighter, another Japanese set released last month, to make up the English-language release Sword & Shield: Chilling Reign which will come out on June 18th. We have confirmation that at least the set mascots from Silver Lance, Jet Black Poltergeist, and Matchless Fighter will be included in Chilling Reign, as the set's press release mentioned Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, Galarian Moltres, and Calyrex. However, there are other Pokémon V cards from Silver Lance and Jet Black Poltergeist that are beginning to debut online. Let's preview a few of them.

Three new Pokémon V that will be included in Silver Lance and Jet Black Poltergeist and potentially the next English-language Pokémon TCG set include:

  • Liepard V: There has never to my knowledge been an expanded art style of card for Liepard. All I can say now is… about time!
  • Celebi V: Celebi got a V last year with Sword & Shield base, and now it's looking like another is coming. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of Pokémon art I've seen on a standard, non-Alternate Art V… and word has it that there is another Celebi V artwork that will be used as a promo. I wonder if we'll get it as an Alternate Art in Chilling Reign or if it will be an English promo as well.
  • Sandaconda V: Sandaconda is a hyper-present Pokémon during the current Sword & Shield era, but this is certainly the best-looking V featuring this Pokémon yet.
