Apotheon Brings Black-Figure Pottery To Life In New Platformer

I stated earlier today that Apotheon is one of PlayStation Plus' free games this month, but that I didn't know much about it. Something about greek gods and the like, but that was about it.

Well, developer Alien Trap Games have now swooped in to clarify the title. This trailer shows the platformer takes place in a Greek black-figure pottery art style that is charming as all hell.

I do hope there is a little more going on here than a distinctive art direction. The play looked a little slow and unbusy to me. Hopefully, it's just a considered pace that works in context.

Like I said, it is free come February 3rd for PlayStation Plus subscribers, which incidentally is the day it comes out on PC. Sadly, it won't be free there.
