Is Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange Team Iron Man Or Team Cap?

Doctor Strange is debuting into a complicated landscape in the MCU. The Avengers aren't exactly on stellar terms right now, with its two figureheads Captain American and Iron Man being pretty much estranged from one another, with good reason.

So where will the Doctor fit into that? Speaking to Yahoo, Benedict Cumberbatch unsurprisingly said that Strange isn't necessarily on one side or the other, and in fact could help heal the rift between the two. He said:

I think [Doctor Strange] has to be Team Doctor Strange. His job title is defender of the fabric of reality. I mean, he fights other dimensional threats that are beyond the perceptions of that very potent squabble [between Cap and Iron Man], and I'd like to think he's going to help them both, rather than take sides.

One thing seems certain and that is that both Captain America and Iron Man have to find a way to team up once again for the upcoming Infinity War. Doctor Strange could well be the factor that brings the family back together.
