Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition Coming Later This Year

I'm a big fan of Darksiders II. It had imagination and married both God of War and Zelda to create something with its own voice. Sadly, that just didn't find the enough of an audience.

That's why I have been talking about my pleasure in seeing it get another bite at the apple with the Deathinitive Edition. We've known about it since the beginning of the year, but now it has been officially announced. The game will come to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this winter with updated visuals, 1080p60fps gameplay as well as all the DLC bundled in. 

The port is being handled by Gunfire Games, where most of the previous developers migrated to when the game's original developer Vigil Game shut down. That means these are people who know this game intimately. 

As I said, I'm happier than ever that the game is getting another go to find a market. I want more out of this franchise and good sales here would help ensure that.
