Gotham Season 4 Released Dark Band Trailer With More Scarecrow
The first season of Gotham had a very street-level, police procedural feel to it. We got to meet a very young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) on the night of his parents murder and an inexperience Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) who promises to catch their killer. The show moved along at a decent pace, giving us the seeds of some of Batman's greatest villains like the Penguin, the Riddler, Catwoman, Two-Face and the Joker. And then somewhere in season two someone decided things were moving too slow and they turned the insanity up to eleven.
That pace has been continuing and the seeds the planted in the first season are now all in full bloom. We've got Ra's al Ghul in town and Scarecrow and Solomon Grundy on the way. Mr. Freeze, Firefly, Azrael, the Executioner, the Mad Hatter, the Court of Owls and the Talon have all made it into the city and now we're getting an early look at the Dark Knight as Lucius Fox provides Bruce with his first costume.
The four minute plus video below, that they call a Dark Band trailer, recaps all of the insanity of the first three seasons and then gives us an extended look at season four including more footage of Bruce in costume and the Scarecrow. No footage of Grundy yet though. I think they may be trying to turn the insanity up to twelve this season.
Gotham season 4 premieres September 21st on Fox.
