Halloween Ends Has Finished Filming, Blumhouse Trilogy Complete
Halloween Ends, the third part in the David Gordon Green trilogy, has wrapped up filming and now will enter post-production. Producer Ryan Turek posted about the film finishing filming on Instagram last night. "A wrap on our Halloween trilogy. Incredible journey. Amazing cast, amazing crew. While we obviously have post-production ahead of us, it's still an emotional night." Star Jamie Lee Curtis wrapped filming a couple of weeks ago, as this film will put Laurie, Alison (Andi Matichak), and Lindsay (Kyle Richards) front and center as they deal with the death of Laurie's daughter Karen at the end of the last film and Michael Myers once and for all.
Halloween Ends For Real?
I don't know if they will actually do it, and I doubt they will, but maybe this really will be the final outing for Michael Myers. Halloween Ends should end the franchise if you ask me, and I say that as a die-hard fan. I would actually love it if they retired Michael and made this the anthology series they always intended, like with Halloween 3. Michael is the best slasher of all time, but this trilogy has a sense of finality to it, and the natural way to end it is with the killer getting taken out. Or maybe he kills them all and just walks off into the night, never to be seen again.
I don't really know what to expect from this film, which is exciting. I also didn't really know what to expect with Halloween Kills, and that didn't turn out so great. In any case, Halloween Ends is coming in October, and if it ends, the series or Michael remains to be seen. It would certainly be the brave thing to do, and Blumhouse has been brave before. Let's see if they follow through on the promise of the title.
