James Corden Named Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show Successor
At the end of the year, when Craig Ferguson unplugs Geoff Peterson, sets the pantomime horse free and says what we learned on his last show… he will pass the torch of 12:30 AM on CBS to comedian/writer James Corden.
Corden is best known for co-writing and starring in Gavin & Stacey, as the Doctor's roommate in Doctor Who Season five and six. He can also be seen currently in Begin Again with Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightley. Next up he's in Into The Woods with Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Chris Pine and Johnny Depp.
Corden is going to have some pretty big shoes to fill as Ferguson created a late night talk show unlike anything else before it. Ferguson broke all standard conventions and did so with a quick wit and a self-deprecating humor that endeared him to his viewers and his guests.
