The Legends Go Full Tolkien To Get Rid Of The Spear Of Destiny
Earlier this season, Legends of Tomorrow basically did a love letter to George Lucas by putting a version of him into the show. Tonight they do it again, but this time with author J. R. R. Tolkien and the Spear of Destiny becomes their version of the One Ring… and this new Fellowship must find away to destroy the powerful artifact. Executive producer Phil Klemmer admits that this is their Lord of the Rings story and there is an interesting bit of Heatwave trying to fry the spear only to have it reveal mystical writing… plus we finally get the return of Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller).
DC's Legends of Tomorrow airs Tuesdays at 9 PM on the CW.
