Mr. Hammond's 'Jurassic Park' Amber-Tipped Cane Sold for $32K
Another one of those iconic movie props I would LOVE to own: John Hammond's dinosaur bone amber-topped cane from Jurassic Park as carried by Sir Richard Attenborough.
The amber top has much significance for the first Jurassic Park film; the mosquito being the key component in bringing the dinosaurs to life. The cane sold for $32,000 (USD).
The listing for the item reads:
1532. Richard Attenborough "John Hammond" signature walking cane from Jurassic Park. (Universal, 1993) Original 33 in. long, signature walking stick constructed of cast resin shaft in the form of tapering 13 sections of dinosaur bone crowned by an egg-shaped globe of faux amber, suspending a large prehistoric, fossilized mosquito, embodying the entire premise of the Sci-Fi franchise. Exhibiting production wear and use and missing the rubber waling tip at the bottom of the cane. In production used very good condition. $8,000 – $12,000
Obviously one of those things that would be perfect for any film fan's collection.
