World War II is one of those settings where films love to go back and explore, and every time you think there can't possibly be a new angle for them to explore, a new one pops up. In this case, Pressure is about something as obvious as the weather and how that might impact something like a massive sea-to-land invasion like D-Day. We have a cast featuring some excellent actors who appear to be showing up to get the job done, and it's always a joy to see Brendan Fraser in literally any movie these days. Pressure doesn't look like it's going to be a huge awards contender, but it's likely going to be a hit among the history buffs in your friend group if it's good. Focus Features released the first poster to go along with the trailer, which was released back in February.

Synopsis: In the tense 72 hours before D-Day, and with the fate of the free world hanging in the balance, Pressure follows General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg as they face an impossible choice—launch the largest and most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether.

Pressure, directed by Anthony Maras, stars Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina, and Damian Lewis. It is written by David Haig and Anthony Maras, with Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Cass Marks, and Lucas Webb serving as producers, and Anna Marsh, Ron Halpern, Joe Naftalin, Anthony Maras, Angela Moneke, and Sheeraz Shah serving as executive producers. Pressure will be released in theaters on May 29, 2026.
