Remeber Me 2 Is Written, It Just Needs Capcom's Say So To Become A Reality
Remember Me struck me as a game with a ton of potential that stumbled a little on the execution. Not disastrously mind, but it had an original concept and some really smart gameplay mechanics that've just failed to linger in people's minds.
It's exactly the kind of game I want to see a sequel from as it could come closer to realizing the potential the first one promised.
That is why I'm happy to learn that the story for the next game is already written. In an interview with Siliconera, Dontnod director Jean-Maxime Moris confirmed that work had been done on the title.
I would absolutely love to [work on a sequel]. We know what we would do for Remember Me 2. The main story has been written we know what we would add to the recipe. We know what we would fix. It's a game that's ready to be made, but that decision is Capcom's to make.
That is exciting, but Capcom green lighting the game could be a big hurdle to over come. The title didn't sell incredibly well and that company is said to be having its fair share of problems right now.
Still, a guy can hope.
