Rob Zombie Moves Forward With Crowdfunded Horror Movie 31

ZombieAfter a 90-day crowdfunding campaign, Rob Zombie is set to move forward on his latest project, the first film in a new franchise called 31.

The premise for the film is about five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held in a place called Murder World where they have to try and survive as murderous maniacs dressed as clowns are let loose to hunt and kill them.

Zombie came up with the idea after learning that more people go missing on Halloween than any other day of the year. "I thought that's a good premise for a film. Add in the fact that everyone I know seems to really hate clowns and now you got a film."

Production is set to begin in February 2015.
