Ron Burgundy Tops The Local News In North Dakota

In what may be the boldest viral marketing move yet, Will Ferrell took to the airwaves as his Anchorman character Ron Burgundy… and anchored the news. Ferrell sat in on local CBS affiliate KXNews of Bismark, North Dakota and did stories about Santa visiting with local kids and a speed trap that uses a squad car and a dummy deputy. Ferrell did the entire broadcast in character and took it mostly seriously… well, as seriously as Ron Burgundy could. But he did "Stay Classy".
