Why Did You Say That Name?! Aquaman Looks To Cast Temuera Morrison As Aquaman's Father, Thomas

The cast for Aquaman is shaping up nicely! We recently learned that Warner Bros was in talks with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II to play Black Manta and Nicole Kidman to play Aquaman's underwater mother, Atlanna (Atlantean for "Martha"). Now, THR is reporting that the studio is in talks with Temuera Morrison to play Aquaman's land lubbing father, Thomas. Morrison is most well known for playing Jango Fett in the Star Wars prequels, but it's good to see he's getting another chance in life.

The business-as-usual casting of Aquaman is calming news for fans of the DC Cinematic Universe, who recently learned that Ben Affleck would not direct the standalone Batman film, The Batman, after months of saying he would only direct the movie if the script was good. Fans are now in a constant state of high alert worrying that Zack Snyder could direct that movie too. Luckily, James Wan remains the director on Aquaman, which also stars Jason Momoa as the titular undersea superhero, and Willam Dafoe as the Green Goblin.
