Scott Deckert Joins the Cast of Venom
Venom is the unknown quantity of the superhero genre this year. No one really knows what to expect from this movie. There have been rumors, and Sony's track record on solo superhero movies without Marvel Studios guiding their hand isn't that great. The first trailer featured no Venom in the trailer for Venom. We haven't see the suit yet, so there are a lot of unknowns going on here. It does have a very good cast, though, so that's a good start if nothing else. That cast got a little bit bigger today.
According to Deadline, Scott Deckert has joined the cast of Venom in an unknown role. Deckert has had small roles in The Walking Dead, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Workaholics along with a role in the movie XOXO from 2016.
Venom has a October release date, so more footage should be showing up sooner rather than later. We can hope it includes a look at the suit — that would make people feel better about this movie.
Venom, directed by Ruben Fleischer, will star Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate, Reid Scott, and Michelle Williams. It will be released on October 5th.
