Sean Gunn Teases Rocket Raccoon's Role in Avengers: Endgame
By the time the credits rolled and the dust [zing] settled in Avengers: Infinity War many of our beloved characters were gone. That leaves the survivors in the unique position of trying to save the world without some of their biggest hitters. One of the groups that got hit the hardest were the Guardians of the Galaxy. Gamora was killed early on and the rest of the Guardians save for Rocket Raccoon were victims of the snap. Rocket is an interesting character and he has always claimed not to care about the Guardians. Now he's alone and stuck on Earth with the Avengers. It's going to make for some interesting dynamics.
IGN spoke to Sean Gunn, who does all of the motion capture work for Rocket, at the premiere of Captain Marvel. He wasn't able to say much but it seems those aforementioned dynamics is going to play a part in this movie.
"All I can say is that Rocket gets to meet a lot of interesting new people that he has not met before in Endgame and I think I'll leave it at that."
It's going to be a lot of fun to see where they decide to take Rocket in light of The Snap. Rocket and Steve Rogers are unique in that they had to lose the people they love, for Rocket it's Groot and for Steve it's Bucky, twice. Wanda also had to lose Vision twice but she's gone [for now].
