Shazam! Wraps Production as David F. Sandberg Addresses the Costume Reveal
Another entry in the DC Extended Universe has apparently wrapped production. According to director David F. Sandberg, the principal production for Shazam! wrapped today and they are moving onto post-production as the April 5th, 2019 release date creeps ever closer.
Sandberg also addressed fans who were wondering where the costume reveal was. Back in February Sandberg said that the reveal was coming "soon", but three months later there have only been set photo leaks and a brief behind-the-scenes video shown at CinemaCon during the Warner Bros. presentation.
Sandberg seems keen to wait a little longer to do the proper reveal, though the studio should probably let him post some concept art. Right now a lot of people are coming down hard on the costume, and some concept art would quell some of the fears that fans have about this production. Now that they have wrapped, the chances that we'll be seeing footage of some kind during a Hall H presentation is looking more and more likely.
Summary: A boy is given the ability to become an adult superhero in times of need with a single magic word.
Shazam!, directed by David F. Sandberg, stars Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Asher Angel, and will be written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke. It will be released on April 5th, 2019.
