Utkarsh Ambudkar and Ron Yuan Join the Cast of the Mulan Remake

The live action Mulan movie is gaining new cast members. According to Deadline two new faces have joined the production; Utkarsh Ambudkar from The Mindy Project and Ron Yuan from Marco Polo have both joined the cast of the live action Disney remake.

Ambudkar will play Skath, a con artist, while Yuan is the fiercely loyal Sergeant Qiang, second in command of the Imperial Regiment.

The remake is one of Disney's many live action adaptions of their animated classics. This one ran into a bit of trouble as it was delayed nearly two years but things seem to be moving along nicely now.

A young Chinese maiden disguises herself as a male warrior in order to save her father. A live-action feature film based on Disney's 'Mulan.'

Mulan, directed by Niki Caro, stars Liu Yifei, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Li Gong, and Xana Tang. It will be released on March 27th, 2020.
