The Horde is boring, and that puts a damper on the comic.
That said, the camaraderie, the lineup, and the broad strokes of the conflict do a lot for the book and keep it in the realm of good.

It shares some of the problems which plague Justice League in that the scope and amount of ideas being thrown at the reader can be a little overwhelming, and it seems likely that that this too will be a lengthy story arc.
