Bayley and Sasha Banks Want Trish Stratus and Lita at SummerSlam
Both Bayley and Sasha Banks have matches to get through at WWE Extreme Rules this Sunday, but the greatest tag team in the history of the WWE already has their sites set on SummerSlam. Following their defeat of the Kabuki Warriors to retain their tag team championships on Monday Night Raw last night, Bayley took to twitter to call out another great female wrestling team: Trish Stratus and Lita.
"Let's seee, another dream match down, another victory won," Bayley tweeted. "Sooooo…..after we get all the gold Extreme Rules …….. we will take Lita and Trish at Summerslam. Thank youuuuuuuu #raw"
Trish and Lita last competed as a tag team at WWE's 2018 Evolution PPV, defeating Mickie James and Alicia Fox. They also joined Sasha and Bayley, as well as Natalya, to defeat James, Fox, and the Riott Squad on Raw the night after Evolution. Stratus went on to have a singles match at SummerSlam against Charlotte Flair, where she tapped out. That match was billed as Stratus's last, but if Stratus were to come out of retirement, joining Lita to take on Sasha and Bayley would be an excellent reason to do so.
Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Trish Stratus and Lita is not the only potential SummerSlam match being teased. "Did you hear what we heard?" WWE tweeted, citing a conversation from the Raw Talk show that happened after Monday Night Raw went off the air. "@KairiSaneWWE says she's READY for @WWEAsuka if #TheEmpress retains her #WWERaw #WomensTitle at The Horror Show at #ExtremeRules! #RAWTalk"
Of course, that match relies on Asuka retaining her Raw Women's Championship in her Extreme Rules match against Sasha Banks on Sunday. If Asuka loses, and if Bayley defeats Nikki Cross, that will leave Banks and Bayley holding all the women's gold on the WWE main roster. Maybe they could put it all on the line against Trish and Lita. Plus, Stratus still has some unfinished beef with Sasha Banks from the 2018 Royal Rumble.
