Team Flash is on the hunt for Cicada (Chris Klein) in this week's new episode of the CW's The Flash, "Failure Is An Orphan" – leaving us with only six more episodes to go for the season – and after learning about consent in the previous episode, it still remains unclear how Barry (Grant Gustin) will approach Cicada about the metahuman cure.
With the episode description calling out Nora's (Jessica Parker Kennedy) unease and that episode title – which I understand refers to the phrase "Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan" – mentioning the word "orphan" in a season all about Nora going back in time to visit her father who disappeared/disappears/will disappear in the coming Crisis, I get the feeling that we're about to get an "end-of-act-two" punch to the gut in this episode as we make the turn and head into the third act of the season.

The Flash s05e16 "Failure Is An Orphan": THE META-CURE IS READY TO USE ON CICADA — With the meta-human cure ready to use, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash must figure out a way to subdue Cicada (Chris Klein) long enough to take it. Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) steps in to help with the plan. Meanwhile, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) eases back into work, and Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) isn't happy about the way her dad plans to stop Cicada. Viet Nguyen directed the episode written by Zack Stentz.
If that above promo (which will still be there since DC's YouTube account actually doesn't take trailers down – we're looking at you, CW) wasn't enough, check out the official episode images below:
