'Into the Badlands' S03 Ep14: "Curse of the Red Rain" Not a Peter Gabriel Song (PREVIEW)
Where were we? Oh, right. Bajie (Nick Frost) was killed, but didn't get killed, because Ankara brought him back to life, which killed her. Pilgrim (Babou Ceesay) almost died bringing all the sleeping Dark Eyed warriors back, which gave the Master (Chipo Chung) a chance to beat the tar out of him, but then M.K. (Aramis Knight) killed her. Baron Chau tried to kill the Widow Minerva (Emily Beecham), but she got on the wrong merry-go-round and lost her head. Which, you know, killed her.
It's kind of amazing that there's anyone left to kill on Into the Badlands at this point.
Sunny's long-missing sister, Kannin (Eugenia Yuan), helped Sunny (Daniel Wu) and Bajie escape from the Razor Spine Fortress, where they were being held by Magnus (Francis Magee), one of the top goons running the Black Lotus, a secret society that hunts down people born with the gift.
The Black Lotus believes that the people of Azra destroyed the world with their gift, and have dedicated themselves to destroying those that possess the gift.
Magnus destroyed Azra, and bent Kannin to his will. It didn't last.
The Badlands are about to get kicked in the teeth, with Pilgrim leading an army of dark eyed warriors, Magnus setting assassin squads on Sunny, Bajie, and Kannin, with the Widow trying to keep the newly united factions of the Badlands coherent in a new war against Pilgrim.
Now, there's a whole new problem, with a blood-red rain storm blowing into the Badlands!
Here's the super cool preview for "Curse of the Red Rain", which airs on AMC on April 22nd:
I showed this picture before, but one of my favorite tropes in kung-fu movies is the Wall of Arrows, and it looks like the Widow is going to be front and center for exactly that!
Agh! I'm really going to have a hard time with Into the Badlands not being on any more! Hurry, someone save it!
