Kenny Omega, Don Callis in Video Highlights from Impact Wrestling

Last night's episode of Impact Wrestling was a Best of 2020 show, featuring replays of matches from 2020 intercut with backstage segments. The show was hosted by Josh Matthews and Scott D'Amore from fireside, and company stars shared their holiday traditions in videos throughout the show. Impact also revealed the winners of fan-voted Best of 2020 awards. Ace Austin won best X-Division star. The North won Best Tag Team. Deonna Purrazzo won both Best Knockout and Best Wrestler.

We also got another "commercial" from AEW's Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone in which they insulted Impact and invited the company's stars to AEW Dynamite's Christmas party.

The other major new content from the night was another promo by Don Callis and Kenny Omega in which they talked again about how long they've planned their takeover of the wrestling business. Callis claimed it was Kenny's Christmas wish as a child. Then they said that winning the AEW Championship was Kenny's Christmas gift this year, while Kenny appearing on Impact and bumping its ratings was their gift to Impact. How nice! Watch that clip below.

Finally, here's the matches that made the cut of Impact Wrestling's Best of 2020.

Next week's episode of Impact will also be a Best of Show, and the company will name the match of the year. After that, Impact returns on January 5th with an Eddie Edwards vs. Sami Callihan match that purports to end their feud once and for all. After that, we'll get the Genesis Impact Plus special on January 9th that features the return of the Super X Cup and other matches, and then after that it's the big Hard to Kill PPV on January 16th.
