"Riverdale" Season 4 "Chapter Sixty-Four: The Ice Storm" [PREVIEW]
Are you excited for this week's adventure into the 'Dale? It's the Thanksgiving episode, and it's full of fun, festive, and spooky surprises for all your favorite Riverdale friends.
"Riverdale" season 4, episode 7 "Chapter Sixty-Four: The Ice Storm": THANKSGIVING IN RIVERDALE — Archie's (KJ Apa) plan to host a peaceful Thanksgiving dinner at the community center quickly gets derailed when some unexpected guests arrive. Stranded at Stonewall Prep by an ice storm, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) search for clues about a recent death on campus.
Elsewhere, while FP (Skeet Ulrich), Alice (Madchen Amick), Hiram (Mark Consuelos) and Hermoine (Marisol Nichols) wait out the storm together at Pop's, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) and Toni (Vanessa Morgan) get resourceful as they host a dinner for Cheryl's family. Camila Mendes, Casey Cott and Charles Melton also star. Alex Pillai directed the episode written by Arabella Anderson.
It looks like Jughead is officially losing it – maybe Stonewall prep is messing with his mind in a very "don't drink the Kool-Aide" kind of way. Or maybe he's just on drugs. The plot is ripe and ready for another "wild and crazy teen drug" in the wake of the holes in the market left by the jingle jangle and fizzle rocks pipelines drying up.
Veronica is either the world's worst magician or throwing yet another temper tantrum aimed towards her family; I mean, she can't even pull the table cloth off the table without bringing the entire Thanksgiving feast crashing to the floor- oh. She's not a bad magician, she's just a spoiled teenager who totally meant to do that. For shame, Veronica. Way to waste perfectly good mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.
Meanwhile, our dear old Archie is left with the ramifications of having Hiram Lodge take care of his Dodger problem – though why it's his problem, I will never understand. Apparently Dodger's mom didn't take too kindly to her son being beaten into a coma…and she holds Archie personally responsible – at gunpoint!
From the images, it looks like both him and his mom are facing a difficult holiday season without Fred (the late Luke Perry). If it's half as heartbreaking as this picture, I'm probably going to cry like a child who's late for nap time and missing their favorite stuffed elephant.
I have so many questions, but it looks like we'll just have to wait for Wednesday night's episode to have them all answered. Until then, I'll just sit here and eye Veronica's temper tantrum Thanksgiving whilst I anxiously await all the Thanksgiving food.
Tune into CW Wednesday to catch Archie, Veronica, Betty, and Jughead and all their wild shenanigans on this week's Thanksgiving Riverdale. Will it be enough to fill our Riverdale appetite for two weeks? We hope so!
