Spider-Man Director Short-List Includes Ted Melfi and Jonathan Levine

hr_The_Amazing_Spider-Man_2_1Marvel has gotten their potential list of directors for the first Marvel Studios / Sony Spider-Man movie narrowed down to a short list. On the list are directors Ted Melfi (St. Vincent), Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies) and the writers/directors team of John Francis Daley & Jonathan M. Goldstein (Vacation). One other contender and a bit of a dark horse is Jon Watts. Watts is mainly known for his commercial work but directed the Kevin Bacon film Cop Car that premiered at Sundance

The Deadline report also says that the choice for Peter Parker is between Asa Butterfield and Tom Holland.
