A Civil War By Any Other Name

The Marvel comic book series Civil War was first published in Turkey under the exact translated title,
"İç Savaş"

The publishers of the title, Marmara Çizgi, were naturally excited when the title of the new Captain America movie, Captain America: Civil War was announced an they got a huge boost in sales.

However, when the trailer to the movie was released in Turkey it was under a different name, Kaptan Amerika: Kahramanların Savaşı which translates into English as Captain America: The Battle of Heroes.

Why the change? Well, Turkey was – and to be fair still kind of is – in civil unrest after last summer's election and the following clashes in the Kurdish region of the country.

The IMDB page for the movie however still shows the Turkish title as "Kaptan Amerika: İç Savaş" but most of the press calls it "Battle of the Heroes."

Will the comic now follow suit?
