Looks Like We'll Be Able To Play Most Of ME: Andromeda After The Main Story Ends
Even more news from Bioware about Andromeda from the DICE summit, this time, we'll be able to play the "Vast majority" of the game after finishing the main story. No longer will we be held to the tyrrany that is finishing up side quests before playing the last game stage.
This news comes out of PC gamer's interview with lead designer Ian Frazier. When asked if there were any time sensitive missions, Frazier remarked, "There's nothing that's explicitly time-sensitive, but there are two things that are kind of in that vein," he said. "One is, there's a handful of quests that if you finish the main story, are no longer accessible. But it's a pretty small percentage. But the vast majority of the game, including the loyalty missions, Mass Effect-2 style, you can do even after you finish the main story. Most parts are still open."
Which is good news for those of us who like to run through the main story first and then go back for the side-quests. Then again, some like to leave the ending to the very end and they can still do that. This just gives us more freedom, which I am always a big advocate for, so I greatly appreciate this news.
You can read the whole interview on PC gamer, or check on some other Mass Effect news like some new screenshots, your ability to choose Shepard's gender, Bioware's response to the Hinterlands problem with meaningful side-quests, or even the new combat trailer.
