Will Archie/Batman '66 By Mark Waid Be Announced At San Diego Comic-Con?

Yesterday, DC Comics announced a Betty And Veronica And Harley Quinn And Poison Ivy comic book.

It might be worth noting that Bleeding Cool reported a Betty And Veronica And Harley Quinn comic back in December. So that was pretty close.

In the same article, we also mentioned that an Archie/Batman '66 comic book was coming, crossing over the comics of Archie and the retro-styled Batman comic modelled in aesthetic after the 1966 Batman TV show. And that it would be written by Mark Waid.

Given the pretty-close accuracy of the first part of the article, could the second part ring equally as true?

And would San Diego Comic-Con be a decent enough place to announce such a thing? We pointed out that Mark Waid has sworn off working for DC Comics but that this could all happen through Archie Comics? In a similar fashion, Andy Mangels, long banned from writing Wonder Woman for DC Comics, was able to write her for Dynamite, as part of a crossover between Wonder Woman '77 and Bionic Woman. And Gail Simone is returning to DC characters with Conan/Wonder Woman courtesy of Dark Horse Comics.

Only a couple of weeks till San Diego…
