Black Panther Soundtrack Drops February 9th, Features Kendrick Lamar, Future, and More
Black Panther hits theaters on February 16th, but a week before on February 9th we get the release of the official soundtrack album. The tracklist was revealed by Kendrick Lamar on Twitter today and features an all-star lineup of talent. Future, The Weeknd, 2-Chainz, Vince Staples, Jorja Smith, and Jay Rock, to name a few.
Lamar himself will appear on five songs, including the already released singles "All the Stars" with SZA and "King's Dead" with Jay Rock, Future, and James Blake. Lamar also acted as the album's curator, choosing artists and collaborations with Top Dawg label head Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith.
The full tracklisting is as follows:
1. Kendrick Lamar – "Black Panther"
2. Kendrick Lamar & SZA – "All the Stars"
3. Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz & Saudi – "X"
4. Khalid & Swae Lee – "The Ways"
5. Vince Staples & Yugen Blakrok – "Opps"
6. Jorja Smith – "I Am"
7. SOB X RBE – "Paramedic!"
8. Ab-Soul, Anderson .Paak & James Blake – "Bloody Waters"

12. Mozzy, Sjava & Reason – "Seasons"
13. Kendrick Lamar & Travis Scott – "Big Shot"
14. The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar – "Pray for Me"
On top of revealing the songs, he also revealed the album's cover: a badass shot of T'Challa's iconic neckline with no text.
The premiere was held Monday to great fanfare, and the first reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. The figures are in stores now and are exceptional. The movie is tracking to be a complete blockbuster. Even the posters are incredible. All that is left now is to head to the theater and see the film for ourselves. I haven't been this excited for a Marvel film since the first Guardians of the Galaxy opened a few years back. That film had an amazing soundtrack, and it looks like Black Panther will, as well.
Black Panther opens in theaters February 16th. The soundtrack hits streaming services and shelves on February 9th.
