McFarlane Toys Debuts New DC Comics BAF Wave with The Monitor
McFarlane Toys is stepping into the Crisis on Infinite Earths with a new DC Comics Build-A-Figure Gold Label wave
The Monitor, a character from DC Comics, is a powerful cosmic entity who plays a pivotal role in DC Comics' infamous Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline. He was first introduced back in 1982 inside of The New Teen Titans #21. The Monitor is tasked as a watcher over the entire multiverse and is in charge of maintaining a balance between both positive and anti-matter universes. However, in Crisis on Infinite Earths, The Monitor intervenes and summons legendary heroes from across the multiverse in the hopes of saving all of their worlds from the Anti-Monitor.
Recently, McFarlane Toys has announced a new McFarlane Toys Store Exclusive set of DC Multiverse figures. This wave is based on Criss of Infinite Earths, with four figures being included, and each includes a Build-A-Figure piece to create The Monitor. As a key figure in the iconic Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline, The Monitor's action figure is a necessary addition to the wave and only helps add a cosmic touch to any DC Multiverse collection. This cosmic overseer will only be built by purchasing all four figures in the Crisis wave, which consists of Kid Flash, Psycho Pirate, Superman of Earth-2 (Kal-L), and The Spectre. McFarlane has each Gold Label figure priced at $39.99 each, making The Monitor the most expensive Build-A-Figure to date. Pre-orders for the entire wave are already live online with a March 2024 release.
